OPR Communications Acquires Danziger Public Relations

Derek Danziger will serve as President of OPR’s San Diego office to grow and support land use, life sciences, energy, higher education, and community infrastructure clients

San Diego, CA — OPR Communications, a leading California public relations firm specializing in strategic communications, government affairs, and brand management, today announced the acquisition of Danziger Public Relations, a San Diego-based public relations consulting firm led by Derek Danziger, APR. The acquisition marks a significant milestone in OPR’s commitment to further strengthen its presence in the San Diego community.

With this acquisition, OPR will elevate its position in the San Diego communications and government affairs market and enhance its ability to address the unique challenges and opportunities in the region’s development, public affairs, energy, life sciences, higher education, and civic sectors. By combining the established strengths and resources of both agencies, OPR aims to provide enhanced strategic communications and public engagement offerings.

Danziger, a well-known leader in the San Diego business and economic development community, has spent nearly 30 years working at prominent San Diego PR firms, public agencies and tourism-focused organizations, including Katz & Associates, Nuffer, Smith, Tucker, and Centre City Development Corporation. He established Danziger PR in 2022
with clients including Civic Communities, Longfellow Real Estate Partners, San Diego County Crimestoppers, and AIGA San Diego Tijuana, among others.
